Merry Christmas 2025
Happy Holidays from our
WOW! Another year nearing an end. Our family appears to have made it through another year without any major glitches. Betty & I pretty much sat back and took it easy at home again this year. However, we did manage to participate in a few family activities and local events. We had nibbling by local visitors this summer and a big snow storm in January! lol We continued our 4th of July tradition: we spent the afternoon at Mark and Dawn's pool with family, food, fun and swimming. We all spent the evening at our house to head out on the boat for "sparks on the lake" fireworks, followed by some treats. We all celebrated mark’s birthday at one of his favorite restaurants - Mikata's Japanese Steakhouse. Cayden and Hayley really enjoyed being with Grandma and Grandpa and watching the performance of the chef who cooked at our table. It was a great show! Our niece Kim and her husband Glenn visited us in October. They were visiting Eastern National Parks in their teardrop trailer. Nice setup! We played games and enjoyed a few days of laughter! In early December Brian and Ute (former neighbors) stopped by on their way ????
Mark, Dawn, Ryan & Taylor Mark & Dawn have been very busy again this year with work, business trips, and a number of fun trips. The great news is that Mark is still cancer free and works at the Georgia Farm Bureau Federation . Dawn continues to work long hours at her hair salon, A Hair Sensation. Ryan & Natalia Ryan still lives in Australia and works in real estate, while Natalia is in Washington, D.C., working at the Australian Embassy. He spent last Christmas in Washington D.C., and Georgia before returning to Australia after New Year. He visited again for a month in June and July, during which Mark and Dawn hosted a joint birthday party for Ryan and Natalia. Ryan plans to visit us again for Christmas, and we are looking forward to seeing him. Taylor, Caleb, Cayden & Hayley Taylor is back working at the Medical Center in Macon and Caleb works at Robins AFB. Here is a share picture from Hayley's birthday party. Cayden is 8 and enjoys fishing and kayaking with his dad. Hayley is 6 and is enjoying school. Here are some birthday party pictures. Pam, James, Kyra & Elena
The family spent a lot of time at their cabin in Wisconsin this summer enjoying the lake and, of course, working on the cabin. They participated in their lake’s Fourth of July parade again this year and finished in fourth place. In July, Pam, James, and Elena went to Ireland for 10 days to visit Kyra and do some sightseeing. Kyra is a sophomore in mechanical engineering at the University of Minnesota. In May, she went to Ireland on a six-week study program. At the end of the program, she met up with the rest of the family, and they toured around Ireland for a week. Next, she went to Poland for a week to visit an exchange student from Poland whom she met in high school. What a great experience for Kyra! In September she landed interviews with multiple companies by attending the career fair and will be working through the co-op program next May through December. She is looking forward to real world experience and of course a paycheck for several months! She will still be on track to graduate with her class. Elena is a junior in high school this year and still enjoys dancing—just like her mom! Here are pictures from her solo dance at one of her competitions. She is working hard to prepare for college and tackling AP courses in Psychology, Calculus and Chemistry this year. She will spend more time in 2026 looking at choices for her future. She did have some fun learning techniques in a Ceramics class last spring and created some nice pieces. Elena has a knack for filling her social calendar as well with lots of friends and fun!
Wishing you all a safe and Merry
Christmas and a healthy Happy New Year, 205 Fishermans Cv
